The Superintendent and District staff regularly consult the committee in the planning, operation, supervision and evaluation of the Fort Worth ISD's educational programs.
The Committee consists of 12 elected school district representatives and 11 Board-appointed parents, community and business representatives. Each member serves a two-year term. The term for Board appointed representatives expires in January; the term for school district employees expires in October.
Eligibility:
Fort Worth ISD employees are elected as follows: four elementary teachers, two middle school teachers, two high school teachers, and one representative elected at large. In addition there are three principals elected to serve: one each from elementary, middle and high school.

Community Representatives - The individual in this position may not be the parent of a Fort Worth ISD student and must live in the District.
Business Representatives - The individual in this position may not be the parent of a Fort Worth ISD student and need not work or live in the District. The only criteria is that he or she is representative of business.
